Welcome to the website of First Church of Christ, Scientist, Downers Grove which is a branch of The Mother Church, The First Church of Christ, Scientist in Boston, Massachusetts which was founded and established by Mary Baker Eddy.
It is the purpose of this church to bring the healing message of Christian Science to our community. We would love to welcome you to our church services and to have you visit our Reading Room. Children’s Room
Infants and young children are cared for while their parents attend the Sunday morning service. The children’s room is also available on Wednesday evenings.
Lectures
You are invited to attend free Christian Science lectures designed to bring joy and healing to all that are sponsored by this and other area Christian Science churches throughout the year.
We are pleased to invite you to a free public lecture titled "Who Is Mary Baker Eddy" given by John Adams, an international speaker, a Christian Science practitioner and teacher. It will be at the Downers Grove Public Library on Oct 21 at 2 pm.
